Officers were called to the 8th and Market streets station for a report of a person with a weapon at about 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Fab. 1, the department told Daily Voice. They arrived to find a 22-year-old victim suffering from two stab wounds to the chest, officials added.

The victim, later identified as Christian Rios of Gloucester City, New Jersey, was rushed to Jefferson University Hospital just around the block, they wrote. He died from his wounds less than an hour later, just before 6:30 p.m., police said.

No arrests have been made and no murder weapon was recovered at the scene, according to authorities. Chief Inspector Scott Small told 6abc that the victim may have been in a verbal argument with the suspect before he was stabbed.

An investigation is ongoing, police added.
